Fancy lunch break on a parc bench with nothing more than what we need to keep us warm and cool during this fall season. From Central Parc, NY to some green spot in Ste Margherite, focus on a new fall look.

When I visited my friend in New York for the first time since she moved to the Upper East Side, I was very excited to stay in this very chic neighborhood.

Don’t get away of yourself though : my friend was not one of these rich Gossip Girl kids you see on TV. She worked as an IT agent in the financial district and shared a 2 bedroom appartment with her roomate.

I wasn’t loaded either (still am not), so the subway remained the most affordable option to go meet her from JFK. I remember going out of the 6 train, heading towards her flat on the 91st street between Lexington and 3rd with my huge suitcase.

My suitcase was very heavy indeed because I had prepared for all options. When you live in New York, you want your closet to be as eclectic as the different districts: from the jog pants for the afternoon run around the Jacqueline Kennedy Reservoir to the fancy blazer for the rooftop party at Le Bain.

I spent that week visiting my favorites spots and discovering new ones. I also recall meeting with a friend for a coffee on the Upper West Side.

If you lived on the Upper East Side, you know how it’s like to commute to the other side of the parc. Not that easy.

Luckily for me, the 97th st Traverse was only a few blocks away.

It was about lunch time and I remember walking by all these men and women wearing office attire while eating their sushi to-go.

That day in Belgium felt just like that and inspired me the following outfit :

- A beige suit, made of a stretchy fabric that freed my every moves

- A white turtle neck, made of wool, to bring some David Craig’s winter vibe to the outfit

- Burgundy wool socks to avoid cold feet with style

- A camel hat and a burgundy scarf to let winter know that I’m "accessory ready"

- A gold watch with brown leather bracelet to make it on time for my rendez-vous

TIP1 : when fall kicks in, replace the long sleeve shirt by a turtle neck underneath your blazer. It is as chic as warm

TIP2 : wool socks can litteraly make you day better as they warm your feet up and brings thick structure to your look. Go ask your grandma to knit some for you now !

Lunch break is almost over. It’s time to go back to our busy lives now. Don’t forget your hat on the bench and let’s meet in the parc very soon. xoxo
